Slickdeals is one of the many sites in my Firefox bookmark folder titled, The Daily Shnizzle.
I used to visit SlickDeals a lot, because they used to have fantastic listings. In fact, I bought my Optio mostly because it was listed on Slickdeals for supercheap.
Since around November of last year, Slickdeals has taken a bit of a nosedive. I assert that the deals simply aren't as slick as they once were.
Looking at the listings posted this Sunday highlight the inanity of the products: a 12-quart stockpot (what the hell is a stockpot?), a free ice-cream, and a 2-ball sleeve. Yowza.
The point is, I still hit this site. And today, I went there and noticed that they were selling a Slickly dealt video card for $339. This sort of fantastic deal makes me ask, "what the hell is on that video card that makes it worth that much?"
I hit the site and, frankly, lost interest. But, I noticed buy.com recommended some items to purchase with the $339 video card.
It's ... 25k pages worth of toner. And another superexpensive video card. From a competing manufacturer.
I think someone needs to work on their grouping engine.
