My very first real post to this journal was in reference to the nuttiness that ensues in my speech class. Since then, I've made at least three other posts discussing the course. One of these is, in my opinion, quite good.
Today, I gave my last speech for English 242.
You may have noticed that I started work on it this morning. Even though I used the slides and speech from EE Senior Design last year, I still thought that this may have been pushing it—the speech is, after all, a quarter of my grade. And I was planning on spending less than two hours on it.
As it turns out, I ended up spending a few minutes making two new slides and five minutes figuring out how to save it into a small Powerpoint 97 file before calling it done.
10 minutes of prep work for a speech that lasted twenty. Bitchin'.
Thankfully, I'm done with the class; one down, five to go.
