Writing my Alfa article, I noticed a few things. Or rather, I noticed one thing in particular about the BMW E90 1 Series, the Audi A3, and the Alfa 147 GTA.

I poked around more. Check out another picture of the 120i, and a four-door (or five-door—whatever) version of the 147:

Whoa, weird. Now, I can't absolutely confirm that these are different cars (as there's no real Alfa-BMW-rumors-debunked resource), but the 147 is most definitely a front-wheel-drive car with a transverse engine, and the 1 Series is a rear-wheel-drive car with a longitudinal engine. Odds of this being the same car are slim (although not impossible: see the Nissan Maxima/Infiniti J30, etc.)
