Only without the XXX. Oops.
I found out two things today:
- My new Nokia (and possibly my old one—I haven't checked) has French predictive text. Awesome. I just sent a message in French to Will.
- Everything else I sent to Will over the last few days ... probably didn't get to Will. In fact, it probably all went to someone else.
Damn. It turns out that I hadn't updated my address book completely, and I was sending messages to Will sans the area code. Apparantely the system accepted it because there does, in fact, exist someone at that number in the 425.
Now that I've figured this out, I spent the last hour or so converting everyone in my address book over to fully qualified ten-digit numbers. Since the vast majority (> 90%) were exchange-only New Mexico numbers, my thumb is about to fall off.
