Yesterday Layla and I went to Fry's and bought some x64 hardware to launch the Windows Server 2003 changeover. Part of this is because I want to run 64-bit Windows, but most is due to the aging hardware my Linux filesystems runs—it's a dual 300MHz Celeron with blown motherboard caps and far too many hard drives (six, actually).

The problem is that I'm a cheap ass and didn't buy another power supply, so I need the newish power supply out of the Linux box to drive the new motherboard. The other power supply I've got won't run all the hard drives, so I have to move my data around in chunks. Plus, I need to move everything over the network because I'm going from ReiserFS to NTFS and I don't (good) support for both on one OS.

But here's the important part: Layla and I will both be making posts, but they probably won't be live. My web server will probably be off, so it's safe to say that whatever posts exist won't be accessible.
