Knowing how to be safe doesn't make me less nervous

The title more or less sums this post up: the more I learn about how to keep myself safe and increase the odds that I'll be around 70-some years from now, the more I realize that the world is a damned scary place.

I'm not really sure what brought about this line of thinking...but it's what's on my mind right now and I think it's worthy of discussion. This whole thing has come about because I'm starting to understand how to feed my body the right things and the fact that my recent trip to New Mexico reminded me how idiotic people can be in their several-thousand-pound deathmobiles.

To get back to the point, I guess the whole statement is summed up by the somewhat more generic, "the more you know, the more you know you don't know." You know? No?

I've found that the more I understand about things like hydrogenated oils and artificial sweeteners, the more I appreciate how damned unpredictable things are in the first place. And water? Damn baby, it's got them hydrogen bonds all over the place!

I'm not sure where I'm really going with this. But nevertheless—eat right and drive safely.
