Late night

Today was an exceedingly long one—I think I spent nearly 14 hours at work in total.

This sort of thing comes up once every three or four months or so and it's nice to be able to put the time in when it's needed. At the same time, this is the first job I've had where that sort of thing is actually even recognized and I really do get the impression that management is actually prepared to kick in the right sort of rewards.

Most importantly, it means a lot to me that I've actually worked hard to get a good job done, and that's one of the few things that really does keep me going.
