Layla and I eat rice pasta for a number of reasons—one of these reasons is that it's damned good stuff. Another is that they actually sell it here in Washington, which is the first place I've ever seen it.
Earlier tonight I was cooking some rice-based spaghetti noodles when I noticed something on the, err, packaging.
I'm not sure what "Not Mushy!" has to do with rabbits and what appears to be a giant egg—but I guess I'm not tied very closely to the rice pasta industry.

I think that's supposed to be a giant grain of rice they're holding.
have you tried "Orzo"?
Yeah, but bunnies?
And no, I don't think we've tried Orzo. Although I usually have a difficult time remembering what the hell I ate last night, so I'm probably the last person to ask.
Have you ever tried a different brand of non-wheat flour pasta? Everything else that I have tried is mushy and falls apart. Yuck!
This package does not lie though — it is not mushy!
As for the bunnies, maybe it is because the brand is also vegan and is a sign they love the animals.
Or maybe their artist really can only draw bunnies ... I mean look at the rice.
heheh - I can see the boardroom meeting now:
"Ok Folks! We've successfully created a rice-based pasta that is not mushy. Good work on that one, Bob - Brillaint idea. Now, refering to the chart I briefed at the beginning of the year, the next step is to come up with a mascott. Any suggestions?"
"Well, my cousin can draw bunnies pretty good."
"GREAT! Get them on the phone!"
