Collectible autos: getting back in the saddle

| | Comments (4)

Now that I'm about done with all the moving, I figure it's about time to get back into writing something worth reading.

So I'll start that ... tomorrow. Here's what I've done so far—and this time, it's sorted. Maybe I should just post this list somewhere.

The request queue:

  • Mazda RX-7
  • Mazda RX-8
  • Maserati Biturbo
  • Merkur XR4Ti
  • Ford GT40
  • Porsche 959
  • Datsun 510
  • Ford Pinto
  • De Tomaso Pantera
  • Aston Martin DB AR1

My queue:

  • BMW E39 M5
  • Citroën ID/DS
  • Chrysler Conquest/Mitsubishi Starion
  • Jaguar XJC
  • MG MGB GT
  • Lotus Europa
  • Jaguar XJS

Thats an impressive list.

For the queue, how about Ford GT40 just cause i heard they're discontinueing the new ones... and sence it's not in my nature to make a request for a car that isnt well european, Porshe 959.

I did a write-up on the (new) GT in early February, so that may hold you until I can get around to doing a proper collectibles article on the (old) GT40.

And the 959 is a great request—the story surrounding that car is really interesting.

DeTomaso Pantera, which Tom Kaus finally bought, a Silver 1973

Oh, that's beyond groovy.

In what condition is it?
