Getting Aleph to use the fountain

| | Comments (0)

It's been nearly three weeks since we got the cat fountain for Aleph and Fifo, and in those three weeks, I'm fairly sure that Aleph has used it ... well, not at all. I strongly suspect he's just been terrified of the thing, because it makes little drippy noises and occasionally the floor around the bowl is fairly wet.

So how has he been getting water? Thankfully, it hasn't been out of the toilets—it's been out of the flower's vase that Layla put up on the windowsill. As tasty as that water is (yeuch), it's somewhat less than ideal.

Aleph and I had a sit-down earlier tonight where he got slowly acquainted with the fountain. I'm pleased to report that after a good ten minutes of watching the waterfall, he took some big gulps and then promptly laid on his ass for the next hour.

Good cat.

As an aside, I'd like to note that the fountain is actually quieter than when we first bought it. Bonus.
