Weird comment round-up

| | Comments (1)

I've gotten some genuinely weird comments here at /dev/null in the last few months. None of them seem to be spam, but they're all just so ... weird. All of them have numbers in them, so I'm thinking that they're possibly part of a covert message-passing scheme.

To all the undercover types out there: go the hell away—at least until I put some banner ads up here or something. At that point, please go nuts with all the secret messages and whatnot.

So here are a couple of the weirder ones that I've seen so far.

  • From The curse of thinking about old cars:
I can't believe it, my co-worker just bought a car for $23063. Isn't that crazy!

  • From Cheap rockets from Zuffenhausen:
I've managed to save up roughly $40680 in my bank account, but I'm not sure if I should buy a house or not. Do you think the market is stable or do you think that home prices will decrease by a lot?

And then, of course, there's always this gem.

  • From Collectible autos: the Toyota Corolla AE86:
i have a 1986 corolla gt-s liftback, i bought it new jan. 86 it has 86k on it everything is original except the floor mats. its in mint condition if you know anyone interested. thanks

Those first two come from the same comment spamming engine, and I get them too. Some of them seem to be aware of how MT-blacklist works and are just trolling to get popular TLD's banned. But this "I saved $$$$" series I haven't figured out what the point is.

I'm too busy with my new pyramid scheme and natural male enhancement.
