Over on Autos Articulated I've just written an article about why manufacturers throw events similar to Audi's Streets of Tomorrow I mentioned last night.
But here's the short version:
Next saturday, I'll be driving to somewhere in Seattle, where I'll likely be treated to good food, very upscale atmosphere, and as many brochures as I can handle. I'll get to drive a number of brand-new Audis, and at no point will anyone ask me, "what will it take for me to get you into this car today?" Audi will try to sell me on the car and on the lifestyle, and in return, they'll let me drive the bejesus out of ... wait for it ... an RS4.
They'll be letting me drive a few other things. The list (from their website) includes:
- Audi Q7
- Audi A3
- Audi A4
- Audi A6
- Audi A8
- and, of course, the RS4.
Some of these sound like a real hoot (I particularly like the Q7, the A3, and the A8) but I'm there for the RS4. It's Audi's hopped-up version of its hopped-up S4. It's an M3 killer and I'm excited to see it.
