I haven't been posting as much as I used to. Writing long articles takes a lot of time and energy, and since we've moved to Kirkland, I've been spending a lot of it getting my physical health in order.
Save for a month or two of morning cardio early this year, I've never really spent serious effort taking care of myself. Right now, I generally spend six hours a week working on getting into shape—Tuesdays and Thursdays I spend around an hour while Layla is in yoga (half of which is actually on an elliptical machine) and Wednesdays and Fridays I spend a good two hours each at the Aikido dojo. So every weekday except Monday, I usually get home around 7 or 8pm...and that's before I've eaten anything.
So for now, I'm going to try to rearrange my schedule so I can spend a sufficient time writing. It's important that I write enough to keep my sanity—but it's just as important that I work out enough to keep everything else.
