Layla and I went to the local Ross today—partly because she wanted to look for new comforters, but mostly because I needed to buy a new robe. My five-year-old Wal*Mart robe has finally developed a tear in the shoulder and it's time for it to be retired.
Anyway, back to Ross. Those of you who have never been to Ross should understand that it's sortof a clearinghouse for all things domestic. It's like a clothing store wrapped in the housewares section of a Target. I noticed today that they happen to have an entire rack full of wooden ships—most of which were $14.99, which is impressively priced.
The big moment came when I ran across the aisle that housed all the throw rugs and whatnot. Behold the picture at right.
Now, I took this shot with my new phone, which explains the horrific CCD noise and overexposure. But despite all its flaws, this thing does 1280x1024, which is far more than my old phone could ever manage. This thing is almost downconvertable to something usuable. Hot.
