It's been over a year since I last got a new phone. Since my contract has lapsed, Layla and I combined our plans together (onto a family plan—it's way cheaper) and we both got new phones.
I ended up with a Samsung t809 slider and Layla got a T-Mobile SDA (a.k.a. HTC Tornado). The SDA is a hell of a lot cooler with EDGE access and Windows Mobile 5.0, but I've been dying for a slider for a really long time. The Samsung is exceedingly tidy, and I don't think I'm missing much by not being able to surf the web on my off time.
The only major downer is that the reception seems to be way worse on the Samsung than it was on my old Nokia. Damn.
