Taking a few aviation days

| | Comments (4)

Layla and I each get the same amount of vacation—three weeks a year, earned like pay alongside the rest of the digits in our paychecks. Due to a few extra trips here and there, however, she's used more of it than I have. So in order to catch back up, I'm thinking of spending a day or two and doing a whole boat-load of flying.

Hopefully this will get me caught back up on my flight training, too, which I'd love to have done in the next two months or so.

The only thing is that I've got a bunch of additional ground work I need to catch up on first...and the materials I have aren't exactly what I'm looking for, so I have to get on top of ordering what I need and doing all the studying before I actually take the right time off.

Busy, busy.

I would totally just save the vacation for the snowboard season.

It's a tough choice, isn't it?

Since it's more difficult to get in the air (weather, plane availability, etc.) than it is to get onto the mountain (wait for snow, find a friend driving up there)...I think I'll opt for the seat time when I get a chance.

Heres something to go off of for the autos site: http://www.vwvortex.com/artman/publish/audi_news/article_1801.shtml

Sorry, I've only just now had a chance to take a look at that—you do realize it's an Audi press release, right?
