We bring the rain

| | Comments (0)

For the last two months or so, we've had practically no rain in Seattle. In fact, I can only think of one day where it actually precipitated—but holy hell, did it ever rain.

Similarly, Tucson hasn't had serious rain in something like eight years. Sure, it'll shower for a few hours each day during the monsoon season, but the city of way-too-damned-much-sun hasn't had a big gigantic day-long torrent in quite a long while.

That is, of course, until Layla and I show up.

It was overcast when we left the airport and sprinkling by the time we got back out of the car. An hour later, it was pouring water, and didn't stop all night. Today, it rained all morning until a few hours ago, when we left the house to tour the countryside (pictured at right). And when we got back, it rained even more.

Denver, watch out. You know what's coming with us.
