I spotted this a few days back on NASA's Earth Observatory RSS feed. It's an image of most of North America with population densities overlaid.
To me, the most remarkable part is the wild, wild west. Or accordingly, just how popular the east half of the US is. I mean come on, the average population density is higher in Kentucky than it is in Washington? Nutty.

That map is neat, and certainly concretes an observation I have whenever I visit the east coast. That is "Damn there are too many people here." That makes me happy though, because they will hopefully stay on their side of the country....hopefully.
Too true.
I think the thing that gets me most is the unending swath of people. The Western Way involves lots of isolated cities and little in between.
It just shows that while we may have less of us out here.... the quality of people is much higher.
...or something something.
Something something ... rhymes with bones?
In all seriousness, I get the feeling that the jury is still out on the quality of Americans. Sense of entitlement, here we come!
I am very proud of my sense of entitlement and plan to never lose it. Thank you VERY much.

Ok Mr. Smarty-Pants, why can't I edit/delete comments?!
Holy shit, dude. That Swiss site has some of the coolest shit I've seen all week. Now I want the book!
And I checked the user manual...apparently you have to make a 12 saving roll with 2D10 and have skill as an Administrative Paladin. Or have some sort of +2hp Crystal Saber of Zylgwyddch...but that's just ridiculous.
