Layla and I saw two movies today. One was fantastic. I'll talk about that one later (probably tomorrow).
The other one ... sucked. We went and saw Night at the Museum because the previews looked mildly humorous, but mostly because it was actually showing soon after we arrived at the theater.
Big mistake. Some kid films (e.g., Cars) are really entertaining. This one wasn't nearly as good.
Ahwell.
P.S. I feel like Night was so bad that I should point out that it was embarrassingly bad. Some scenes were so forced that I actually felt uncomfortable in the theater. That said, I'm also most definitely not the target audience—and judging by the reactions of a dozen or so very vocal eight-year-olds in the film's ~80-viewer showing, it may actually have been a hit.

I didn't like Cars much at all, with the exception of the Ferrarista. Now they were hilarious!
That's too bad. I was hoping it would be good. As soon as you mentioned it sucked, I checked metacritic. It got a 47. That definitely equals suck. Lame. :(

Them, and Click and Clack. And Mia and Tia.
Shippy-
47 is generous.

Oh yeah, Mia and Tia were fantastic. If only they got more than oh-point-seven seconds of screen time.
And what about the Hudson? I've got a real soft spot for 1950s Hudsons.
