More important than the weight, however, is that the reality has set in. I'm really, really sick of protein shakes.
Maybe it's because I've been having strawberry shakes, with strawberries added. Maybe it's because up until recently, I've been having four or five a day. Maybe it's because ultimately, they're still protein shakes.
Whatever it is, I'm glad that I've got alternatives like string cheese (which is great stuff, by the way) and yogurt to keep me proteinized. Because I've really had enough of the shakes.

protein? there's also potabella mushrooms and other high protein shit like fish.
Well congratulations on being nearly 20 lbs lighter. I have two 10lb weights that I never use because they're freakin' heavy!
Raven-
6oz. of mushrooms (which is a bunch) has only 5g of protein in it—that's about 20% of what I get in a shake, or 10% of what I eat at lunch in chicken alone.
Fish is an option, but not for breakfast nor 3pm at the office.
Bonnie-
Thanks! My trainer appears to be compensating my loss with loads of extra free weights, too.

Beans! Nothin' beats a nice bowl of black beans, appropriately seasoned. And they're damn easy to make too. And the fiber will lower your cholesterol! And their cheap! et cetera.
No beans for me. They're verboten until later in the program.
