After meeting with a loan officer mortgage consultant and a real-estate agent, Layla and I are really cranking down on looking for a house. We've been poking around the local listings on-and-off for the last few months, but we've now got all of the pre-approvals and timelines to start looking in earnest and figuring out what we want.
The excitement builds!

If you haven't gone to the seminar that Abigail and Keith suggested, I recommend it as well. It helped put us over the edge.
Which seminar is that? We went to one at 1st Tech, but not any others.
We will likely be looking in the Redmond area. We like it here because of the closeness to 520, MS, and transit centers.
We would love to stay in the Avondale area, but we don't know how realistic that will be. It's a pretty spendy area and lots of it is higher-density residential.
