The crooked staircase

Now that we're getting close to moving out of our apartment (likely in the next month or so), I figured I'd finally post a picture of the screwed-up staircase we've got in this place. The view at right is directly down the handrail that goes from the top floor of our apartment to the middle floor.

Yes, it really is that screwed up. Directly to the right is a picture from further inside the stairwell—it shows the small bit of wall which has, by my estimate, at least four or six inches of deflection out into the middle of the living room.

Gotta love builder-grade construction.
