Layla and I were playing Hoopla earlier (yes, just the two of us—we're just that cool) when she had to pantomime Mecca. After I failed to guess what the heck she was praying towards ("east?") she got me to guess:
- Clown?
- No wait, Pee-Wee Herman
- Pee-Wee's Big Adventure?
- No, Jambi?
- Yes!
- Uhh...genie?
- Genie bottle?
- Mekka-lekka hi mekka hiney ho!
And there you go. Mecca.
Hoopla kicks ass. I wish they would come out with blank cards and/or expansion packs. Bonnie and I have cycled through that deck so many times that we have to chop the game time down to make it a challenge.
Layla and I have quite a while until we get to that point. Her clues for "voting booth" were, "poll, pick, president, place."
To which I responded, "Iowa?"
P.S. In case it's not entirely clear yet, I really suck at this game.
I really wish I could have seen whatever it was that led you guessing characters from Pee-Wee's Playhouse.
while on the subject of my brother... he was born june 27 1987 at 8am=pee wees play house was just starting.
needless o say I didnt see him till 8:30am - when peewee's play house was over.
