Los Angeles: the delay post!

I don't want to make it ridiculously obvious that I'm out of town at the moment, so I'm saving this for whenever it is that I get back into Seattle—but the important point for today is that I'm spending the week in Los Angeles for Microsoft's Windows Hardware Engineering Conference (WinHEC).

So, here I am in downtown LA at the Westin Bonaventure hotel, waiting for the rest of my crew to get moving so we can head over to the convention center and do all the stuff we're here to do.

One thing to note is that although the Westin is nice, the Standard is megaswanky and makes the old Westy look like something of a geriatric home. Had I known, I'd be staying in the Standard.
