Yeah, well you would think the same thing about the "you can depend on me" thing I bloggged about not too long ago, which I also yanked after about a week.
I guess my point about the whole thing is like the line from Fight Club, "An exit door procedure at 30,000 feet. The illusion of safety...."
If someone were to steal my car, the tape would no doubt help the police, but if someone were to be attacked, despite the dozens of cameras, no one would actually see it.
Well, what about the case where you attack someone stealing your car, and then they launch a civil action based in no small part on the video of the parking lot.
