I don't typically play video games, except when they're exceptionally good and I'm feeling exceptionally out of it.
Well, Forza Motorsport 2 came out a few days ago, and I'm feeling way out of it.
From the hour (or so) that I've been playing this, I've bought a VW GTI, and have won a Porsche 914-6, a Jaguar XKE, and a Lancia Delta Integrale HF. So in terms of finding kickass exotic mid-level vehicles, it's hella sweet.

uh huh huh huh. I havent bought it yet. I like your taste in virtual autos tho.
Any comments on how this compares to the GT series?

After another afternoon, I've tacked on a MkIII Supra and a handful of assorted Eurexotics. It's hot.

Good question.
I think there's too much to put here—look for a full post later today. The short version is that the physics are just as good, the modeling is better, the gameplay is far less cheap, and the UI is way less infuriating. The XBox Live tie-in is also exceedingly slick.
The only real problem area is the AI which, although it's better than GT4, is nevertheless too clueless about other cars on the track.
