what tom-foolery is this!? tell me you pulled the engine for an e-46 m3 motor swap?

Or the 390 from your Ford. Either way...

Hrm. I'm enjoying the speculation here—any other guesses?

Anyone want to suppose that I'll be dropping a Mercury Marine engine into the BMW?

Ive got a guess! Will you be dropping a Mercury Marine engine into the BMW?

I'm thinking that you pulled the springs for something, and they haven't quite settled back yet after being put back on. At least, that's what happened with the my Miata when I pulled the springs to put new shocks on. It was SO lifted. :o)

I suppose I should tell you guys what's up—the BMW!

I actually just had the car on jack stands to change the oil. The 3's only really accessible stand locations are on the transmission cross-brace, which is pretty sufficiently inside the edges of the car.

And to be clear, the only reason I was changing my own oil was because I now own a truck and the last owners of my house happen to have left me a big oil catch pan. So ... mess averted.
