I've launched a new blog. I may even launch some real content there, at some point.
No really, it turns out that I've got loads of work-related stuff to post about, but /dev/null isn't exactly the most ... appropriate forum. So instead of trying to cram lots of Windows posts into the work category, I've launched a new blog entirely over at MSDN.
The majority of what I'll be posting about over there is my Windows component, wsdapi.dll. I'll also be talking about less-Windows-specific Web Services topics. This is probably terribly interesting stuff for all of you networked-device developers out there—and so that's why it's posted elsewhere.

...and another rss feed for daily enjoyment. Sounds interesting - I look forward to it.
True on the RSS, but I can't guarantee daily enjoyment. I'm committed to posting monthly at the very slowest—but rest assured that the content quality will be significantly higher than that here on /dev/null.
...because that's, you know, not at all easy. Ahem.
I can't comment there without signing up with MSDN. So... I'll do so here. Except that I don't have anything to say.
Can it run doom?
I'm interested to see the overlap between what you've been up to and what I'm doing at work. Your descriptions of your work are always vague but I feel like we might actually be working on some of the same stuff.
Does the existence of this blog indicate a change in the attitude of you/your employer towards discussing the inner workings of your project? Or was that an artifact of pre-Vista hush hush wankery?
Yeah, especially if you're working on IP-connected devices.
The timing here is coincidental: I've got some spare time in my schedule, and I recently made a career goal for improving my component's external communication. Hoorah career management FY08.
So would you consider it poor form if I assigned my entire security class to reverse engineer and fuzz your component?
Oh, come on now. You're smarter than actually asking me that.
Ok maybe I'll get one group to poke at it then. :)
That's more like it!
Hey Dan, guess who happens to be in Danny's class (^_^)
Excellent!
