It seemed like a good idea at the time

You remember my plan to take Wednesdays off? Well, I took this last Wednesday off—but spent half the day answering email from home anyway, just to catch up.

And yesterday I spent nearly 12 hours at work.

And today? I topped 15 hours.

So this vacation thing didn't happen exactly as I had planned. Maybe next week.
