Indeed.
Whats even worse is the Christmas songs that were sung/written/performed over a century ago are butchered by 'celebrities that are popular' earlier in the year.
Some honorable mentions: Rosie O'Donnell, Larry the Cable Guy, The Chipmunks.
"Christmas" won't make bad covers suck any less.
My boss thinks that playing the "all christmas" channel "all" day for 3 weeks is great for biz! I can tell you that the "reggae and rock" versions do not make it easier.
Layla put it best yesterday: "all of this damned Christmas music makes it hard for me to shop."
