Which is more difficult:
- Printing fortunes in random order, and not worrying about whether they're dumped in the bin in the order in which the fortunes were printed, or
- printing identical fortunes in batches, and ensuring later that adjacent cookies are unlikely to have the same fortune?
I imagine that with fixed plate printing, the problem of printing random fortunes in the same machine would be more difficult. With the advent of inkjets and laser printers, I imagine the process of shuffling fortunes or cookies before dumping them in bins would be more difficult.
Tonight, I got three different fortunes stuck together inside my cookie.

Triple luck for you! Wait, is it racist if I say it?
Only if you aren't wearing your Hong Kong Phooey outfit.
