I spotted this 1935 Monaco Trossi over at Jalopnik a while back. Mounting a huge-ass radial engine to the front of a sports car is quite possibly the coolest idea to come out of the 1930s.
It's not a rotary. It's a radial.

Is it supercharged? Either way I bet it can smoke those 10 Speed Tires.
Why in fact, it's twin-supercharged.
If it could smoke anything, it would be the front two tires--but I sortof doubt that since it's only making 250hp and has 75% of its weight over the front wheels.
Handling!!!!
Front Wheel Drive does seem odd. I am curious about the transmission.
Hah, but by the time car builders got to the Jet Age, thank you GM, the vehicles had two forward gears. Fast and Faster. Not only did it smoke the tires at 100 mph it burnt all the grass next to the car too!
Definitely odd. But hell, it was the 1930s and practically everything was custom-built.
