On June 6, I'm going to be moving offices. This is notable because I've been in my current office since I started work on June 6, 2005.
It'll be a little weird moving. I'll be going from the highest-numbered office in the building (yes, the whole building) and on the 6th floor, down to the 1st floor of a 2-story building. I won't be getting a full window (I barely miss the cutoff for that...for now) but I will have windows and a view of a fountain right through my door. Bonus.
Even though the office will be new, I feel like this is a bit overdue. 3 years seems like a long time—but, I'm not sure that opinion is shared by the people paying for the move.

My first office move was almost exactly 3 years after starting too ... off by a few weeks.
The funny thing is that was just 6 months ago and I am about to move to my forth office.
Enjoy the new building — I sure liked that building when my office was there.
So does the move mean a new job, promotion, etc?
The whole team (~400 people?) is moving to consolidate after a reorg. I certainly hope I'm getting promoted more often than I'm changing offices.
