Layla and I watched Word Wars earlier this week, so naturally, we bought a copy of Scrabble.
And the first game we played was stupendously horriffic on my side. I managed to only get 2 Es the entire game (that's a 1-in-1024 shot?) and somehow managed to have the above hand at some point during the game.
Lovely. If any of you can spot a move that involves either the Z or Q on that board, you're smarter than I am.

Too bad you were probably limited to sole use of the English language. Norwegian and Engrish probably would have helped in your situation.
Or any other language where "DHRR" is acceptable. Perhaps Texan?
Who played "newbie," and was it a continuation on newb?
is "newbie" in the official scrable dictionary?
Layla played that one. It was played under the agreement that we may play words that we both agree are full of win.
does that include alternate spellings of popular internetz speak... ie: newb, noob, noobercorn, noobasourusrex?
You're a noobercorn.
I didn't see any moves with Z or Q other than ZUB. See http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zub for reference. :-)
--Z
Zub zub? Schwobu.
I happen to have a copy of the official Scrabble word list on my desktop.
"newbie" is good but "newb" and "noob" etc. are not.
