I'm often amused by people in positions of service (cashiers, bus drivers, etc.) get really bothered and tell someone off. It is, admittedly, a little less amusing when I'm the one being told off1.
I always enjoy things a little more when people are polite—but seeing someone exercise their freedom to be pissed is a great reminder of how valuable some of our rights are. Even if we lose customers or get reprimanded later, the decision to be annoyed is always one we're free to make.
