Coconutty

We had this tub of raw cocunut on our first day exploring Kauai.

Coconut ... juice (? It's not really coconut milk) looks and tastes like sugar water but has the consistency of runny snot. It pulls out of the container in long strands and flies all over in the wind. Using two straws like chopsticks is an absolutely terrible way to try to consume it, although it's better than pouring it right into your mouth.

Raw coconut shavings sitting in this snot juice have approximately the same consistency as chocolate at around 50° F. I realize it's not too descriptive, but that's about the best I can do.

Tasty stuff, though.
