Half the average

I'm taking the Toyota in for its 20,000 mile service this morning. We've had this car since January 2006 so that means we've only been putting about 7200 miles on it each year—which is a little more than half the typical reckoning of 12,000 miles each year.

Short commutes are nice, eh? I'm in the same boat where I only put about 6000 miles on the S2000 and 3000 on the Accord a year. I sent that info to my insurance and my premium dropped by several hundred dollars. That was a good day. :)

Geebus I'm almost at 43k on my Taco. I've had it since February of 2006 and I've been out of the country for at least 6 months of that time!

Sorry, I forgot to mention I've been borrowing your truck occasionally when you've been out of town.

...to Seattle and back.

F-250 just hit 175k miles. Not bad for a 2000 MY.

I can't help by think the 'extra' cars helped a bit too.

Rabbit just rolled 27k.

But 10k of those miles are from spinning your wheels on the icy wonderland that is Detroit in January.
