Speedo cable

I'm not talking about bathing suits.

Remember the speedometer cable that caused so much controversy around here a few months back? Well, this is it—now removed from it's original home and tossed lovingly on my faux-woodgrain workbench.

In case you can't tell from the photos, the plastic teeth are pretty rounded out and worn down. Even if I had gotten the whole speedo cable from the original truck, I would have had to have thrown the whole thing away. The one in my truck was in surprisingly good shape—I doubt it's original.
