Porsche update

It's been a while since I mentioned the 914.

I thought the car had a shot passenger-side ball joint but upon pulling the suspension a bit apart, it looks like it's actually the wheel bearings. So I bought a set of new bearings and have parked the car in the garage, but haven't yet had time to toss them on there. In fact, the car has been in there since before we went to Hawaii—so clearly, I'm way behind schedule.

The only other high-priority item is to figure out what's up with the passenger-side heater vent (it's stuck open?) and to fix the blower motor.

Is that the stock height?

As far as I know, yes. The springs look original.

Most 914s sit about this low—certainly in the front. In this photo the rear is just a hair lower than the usual ride height because the parking brake loads up the rear suspension on an incline. Uphill, the rear end raises into the air; downhill, it squats.
