...well technically it's not quite winter yet. But it's close.
One of the immense disadvantages of working on cars in the winter1 is that the garage is incredibly cold. So I have to fire up the space heater and brave it out.
But at the same time, there's a big advantage in that I can leave the car beached on jackstands for a few weeks at a time and not feel bad that I'm unable to drive it in the wonderful weather. Because we don't have any at the moment.
So that gives me the opportunity to slowly crank through bigger projects that I would probably rush during the weekends when the climate is a little warmer. And that's what I'm going to dig into tonight—I still need to replace the wheel bearings on the 914 so I'll reposition the car in the garage and will probably start on that tonight. Hopefully it'll be quick, because when I'm done with that, I need to figure out why the blower motors don't work.
The blower motors were 100% unimportant during the warm summer months. But now I can't really drive the car without them.
1 This is until I install a heated floor in the garage with the gains I make on selling my corporate options ... aww crap.

996 brake upgrade??
Totally! Except that when I installed my 914 brakes on my 996, my braking distance went to suck.
