Dog Whisperer brand bottled water

| | Comments (5)

I spotted this earlier tonight at the local Petco: it's Dog Whisperer-brand bottled water ... for your dog (screenshot for the day this inevitably goes off the market).

I totally understand that some owners would want to keep their pets healthy, but this is a little over the top. And parsley flavor that dogs love? They're dogs. They chew their own backsides.

I saw that the other day as well. I think they had a load of Dog Whisperer branded items. Its like Wal-Mart and Hannah Montana.

Anyway, I am in the UK now and I need to get an NTSC/PAL convertor for my Wii. I found quite a few on Amazon.com, but is there anything perticular I should look for to make sure it will work for me? I just browsed the user reviews to figure out what people liked and what they didn't.

Bottled water prices are just insanely high, why somebody would pay that for their pet is beyond me.

With tap water of high quality (which, truthfully varies tremendously: most of WA >> most of NM) I really don't see the point either. In Socorro, I wouldn't drink it, but in Bellevue, it's probably ok enough. That's mainly due to my inate aversion to drinking tap water, as its rep in Germany is bad, in turn due to lead-containing plumbing (since widely replaced), despite being the grocery which is most tightly controlled, more so than bottled water, which often contains more heavy metals.

I usually get the water from Whole Foods @ $0.59/gal. The cat likes that stuff just fine (and me too!) I got Maarit a Britta filter and that makes the water at her apartment quite tasty also. Her dog gets Britta-filtered as well, IIRC. It tastes good.

If you're connecting it in the UK, you'll need to make sure that one side of the connector is labeled, "telly."

No really I have no idea. Maybe Nintendo's website has info on that.

Coach Z-
Tap water totally gets a bad rap. It's good to pull the big chunks of stuff out of it (with a filter) but as you note, it's all good as long as you don't have lead pipes.

We filter the water we drink, and the cats get the same stuff (primarily due to convenience—it's easiest to pour them water from the filtered cooler than from the tap).

damn it, why didnt i think of that!

I would buy 'Raven' brand bottled water. For my dog.
