How long until the Salvation Army guy outside the supermarket has a Visa reader?

my church uses a verisign/paypal site for all that stuff. Although, you can also set up automatic payments via ACH. I've heard that they even accept donations of stock, which is a bit unusual. My church is pretty cutting-edge when it comes to technology, so it may not be the most representative sample.
Overall, I really appreciate the flexibility, not to mention the frequent flyer miles :-)
Merry Xmas!

That's a good point—many organizations are moving away from direct donations entirely.
But having a physical donation presense (like the Salvation Army guy in front of the supermarket) is likely to be an important part of that organization's fund-raising program, so I'm curious how that will play out in the coming years.
