I'm planning on getting the exhaust fixed on the truck tomorrow morning. I've lived with a huge hole just past the passenger-side header since I've owned the damn thing, and it's noisy enough that I'd rather not live with it forever.
I don't (yet) have a welder so I can't really do any of this myself.
I'm probably also going to have them do the brakes. You may be wondering why I'm going to pay them to do that, since I was able to, you know, replace the entire transmission on my own.
It turns out that although I was able to replace the transmission (on the side of street, no less) I actually don't have the space to change the brakes.
I can't replace them in the garage, since the truck won't fit. I can't replace them in the driveway, since the grade is too steep. And I can't replace them in the street, since (unlike for the transmission replacement) I'll have to do most of the work sitting in the middle of the road. No thanks.

Going with 6" pipe, all the way?
I considered it for the WRX, but I would need to jack it up a bit for everything to fit :)
Yes. I stole the exhaust off of a school bus.
No really, I just had them weld up a new pipe from the header to the Y, and actually put a tail pipe on the damned thing (instead of dumping exhaust straight down into the asphalt, and directly into the path of anything I happen to be towing).
