That's right, it's now a congresionally designated day of celebration.
I was originally going to make some comment about Pi Day receiving official government recognition and is therefore uncool, but there's really nothing at all bad about this.
Full text of the resolution is here under the link "H.RES.224.EH" (not sure where I can find a static link to the full text).
I'm particularly amused that they included this observation:
Whereas by the 8th grade, American males outperform females on the science portion of the TIMSS survey, especially in Biology, Physics, and Earth Science, and the lowest American scores in math and science are found in minority and impoverished school districts;
I have no idea how that helps make the case for Pi Day.
P.S. These Flat-Earth Society members Congressmen voted nay: Chaffetz (R-UT), Flake (R-AZ), Heller (R-NV), Johnson (R-IL), Miller (R-FL), Neugebauer (R-TX), Paul (R-TX), Pence (R-IN), Poe (R-TX), Shuster (R-PA).
