I queued up The Fall a month or two ago on a recommendation from Mouser (I think).
The story is sortof a mix of Pan's Labyrinth and The Princess Bride, where a narrated story unfolds in a girl's imagination, set against tremendously rich backgrounds and sets.
In fact, this film has the best visual direction of any film I've seen recently. It actually pulls directly from Baraka in at least one scene, and Baraka was directed by Ron Fricke, who did the cinematography for Koyaanisqatsi. Both Baraka and Koyaanisqatsi are stunning films—The Fall pulls from the very best.
Good story, incredible visuals, and overall a great film.
P.S. I just noticed The Fall and The Cell were both directed by Tarsem Singh. I enjoyed The Cell ... well, way less than The Fall, but the art direction on both films was pretty remarkable.

Glad you liked it. It's a visual fave of mine. Seen Renaissance yet?
I have indeed. Deep contrast animation for the win.

I've thought thumbtack for a long time, actually. Less so on the wiener part—it's got inadequate girth.
