The latest laptop I'm driving is a Lenovo X301. This is a pretty killer machine.
I've only had it for a day but my initial impressions are that the build quality is top-notch, and it's incredibly light and thin despite having a comparitively large horizontal footprint. I hard a difficult time deciding between the Dell E4200 and this beast, and the final deciding point was around overall feel—and the Lenovo doesn't disappoint.
I'm a bit annoyed that it has no flash drive, ExpressCard slot, nor smartcard slot. And they even wasted space on a useless internal optical drive—which I've since removed and have replaced with a battery.
We'll see how this goes from here. This is the first machine I've used regularly with an SSD, and it's blazing fast.
